7. ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES
6. CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME
Going through university I did not think it was complex haha or at least never so much, but I think that with two and a half years in the body one gets used to the late nights, hours of sleep and demands of the teachers. It took a while for me to adapt to those little things that only as a higher education student do they live, because I came from a Technical-Professional degree and the type of requirement is different or at least the distinction between Middle and Higher Education is made. In high school everything is easier in my opinion, my times that are prioritized to an educational level that were totally in school, with time to spare, so it has happened to me many times that I would like to double the hours of the day when Intense weeks are coming full of work deliveries and tests (recently this week:C), divide the time doing more than two tasks at once and that time does not catch me like a good Chilean. Of the two and a half years that I have been a student of Psychology at the University of Chile, very few changes in the curriculum have changed, only resignations and changes of academics in 2 subjects of the second year of the degree. Well as academics I have nothing to say, they were professionals in the subjects that they did, where they were always ready for would help with the complexity of the subject.
5. PERSONAL OPINIONS
The opinions and movement of thought, I find useful for the creation of conversations and debates that arise on relevant issues at present; where it helps to take different positions and visions that an other contributes regarding a subject. It is important to generate these types of spaces to generate optimal solutions and interventions.
I believe that respect is essential when someone makes their individual vision of something known so that each individual contribution generates a constant and changing dialogue over time.
There are types of people who do not find what they think relevant, and mainly criticism is not taken into account. Why do I say criticism? Because I think people generally don't throw bad comments to harm someone, but rather constructive criticism regarding the person or some thought said. As for my person, I attribute importance in those types of criticisms, although they are always unexpected and we do not want to receive them haha, Being honest affects in a certain way, because we are used to the recognitions and distinctions among other people, where we bring out our best abilities and skills. But that in the long run leads us to excessive competitiveness, generating isolation, envy and rivalry in different areas where the human being is inserted: work, family and social. As human beings that we characterize ourselves for reflective beings, we should help each other without double intentions of improving the modernity in which we live.
4. POST GRADUATES STUDIES
Once I finish my studies in psychology, I would like to continue to specialize in the field of clinical child and youth psychology. I really like this line of psychology because there are more and more children and young people who need a psychological and specialized support first forged by family and school problems. Mental health in Chile and the rest of the world is deplorable, the care they provide in primary care centers and hospitals, there are more and more people suffering from mental illness. It has been shown that during childhood and adolescence the first indicators that trigger the disorder emerge, if you have the tools to help them in their early stages of life, why do not do it? without the excuse that children grow up and realize that they have a disorder to finally help them. That is why, I would like to do my postgraduate at the University of Chile, the academic training that the undergraduate professors have given I find it to be is dedicated and committed. The infant-juvenile clinical line is the approach in one of the first stages of human life in which the psychologist investigates, with the goal in order to eradicate unwanted discomfort and improve the quality of life in children and adolescents in the different areas that are inserted.
THEMED POST 3
I don't know what I could talk about, so I will talk about the present my family life in quarantine. I started living my quarantine from March and I started to stay at home without the possibility of leaving, only my mother who was still working. But the company with the pandemic in the middle became demanding on workers, and unfortunately my mother was one of many who became unemployed as a result of Covid-19.
Economically we had just the right amount of what the company established and the government was still not helping us due to administrative errors, so it had to be divided between common expenses and rent. Although she had to "tighten the pocket" at home, I had my mother more with me, something that when I worked, I rarely saw her and we rarely met at a table. Speaking from the present with the pandemic involved I share every moment with it, she pampers us even more now with food and desserts. We recently moved due to financial shortages where doors were opened to us.
In my case during quarantine, It has helped me give it the important weight of what people mean and older adults are more affected by Covid-19. That's why I don't let the pandemic take me away from my grandparents, I call them whenever I can asking them about their physical well-being.

2. MEDITATION REHEARSAL
Meditation according to historians, appeared early in South Asia (India) and then later in Eastern Asia. It was believed that through this practice salvation of morals, knowledge, concentration and liberation was achieved. The practice of meditation also spread to other cultures in the west, to influence religions such as Judaism. Later, Plotinus developed meditative techniques, which were not easily integrated into the Christian faith.
The term "meditates" originated from meditatum, which means "to reflect" being introduced in the 12th century. This practice over the years grew exponentially, becoming a form of prayer in many religious traditions and became popular in the population of Western culture with the publication of the book "Tibetan Book of the Dead" and "The Bums of Dharma".
In 1979, the Mindfulness program founded in the United States, using meditative techniques in the treatment plan for patients with chronic diseases. Meditation plays a fundamental role in many traditions and rituals, as well as helping to manage tension and perfect the well-being of the individual.
Faced with the above, it is said that meditation is a fundamental part in people that links them rigorously to a spiritual life. What significant importance do people attribute to it?
My arguments will be supported by Pablo d'Ors. Meditation to a certain extent, is occupied by people in order to be calm and relieve the imaginary load that we have on our back. The mastery of this well-known practice is not easy to achieve for those who are just beginning, because our mind and imagination play a trick on us when we meditate. Thinking about things that we have pending or activities that we have a future is not part of a fruitful meditation. It is here that we realize that absolute silence - more and talk - while we meditate is more complex than we think.
As d'Ors affirms "Meditation is an initiation to adult life: an awakening to who we are." Therefore, it is here that we place real importance on meditation, rather than just medical practice. A sense to the incorrect identification of the individual that offers to discover the world and oneself are connected, removing any notion of selfishness in those who meditate. So much so, that d'Ors says “the time has come to blame nothing, or anyone, for what happens to us. It is possible to avoid that when the direction of the indicating arrow as if imagined would be, pointing towards ourselves ”.
As an annex I share my individual experience that I have had with meditation and about the video previously seen. For me, the video seemed quite interesting and helpful, because personally I did not know what reactions this practice could have on my body. Currently, I rarely use my time in meditation or alternative activities such as mandalas or Mindfulness that were of my total interest and pleasure. Although, when I practiced I felt that on an emotional level I was more balanced and decreased my levels of stress and frustration.
I feel different from last year, I think we all had a hard time believing in the consequences that this new virus could cause worldwide. I have become used to the confinement or captivity that this pandemic caused, but the fact of moving these days due to force majeure revitalizes me, feeling the fresh air and visualizing my surroundings is something inexplicable that I did not see before.
English classes have always made me feel anxious and nervous, perhaps due to the lack of proper command of the American language.
In conclusion, the path of meditation is the distancing of the mental schemas and the prejudices that human beings have internalized. It is meant for us to find ourselves, making ourselves aware of life and perceiving it free from all impediments. That is why meditation is a perfect habit for those who want to incorporate them into their lives.
